What We Believe

St. Timothy Lutheran Church is a community baptized in Jesus Christ, joining together to celebrate Word and Sacraments, helping one another grow in proclaiming the Gospel, reaching out in service, teaching the Word of God, and calling all people to share a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

We are a people loved by God, and we welcome the opportunity to share that love with others.

We are a community striving to become deeply devoted disciples of Jesus Christ, and we encourage and support each other in that growth.

We are committed to reaching out, with an attitude of service, to those who are not experiencing the love of Christ in their lives, sharing with them the good and hope-filled news of God’s saving grace.

We believe in God the Father, whose creating work never ends, who is more loving than we can even begin to imagine, who will go to all lengths to be in relationship with us.

We believe in Jesus Christ, who is God in human form, through whom we are offered salvation.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is God living in and through us now, who is calling us to relationship with Jesus and with each other, who is enlightening us through Scripture, who is empowering us to live a life of holy character.

We believe that worship is central to living our faith.
