CROSS TRAINING: What Is It? All believers of Jesus Christ are CROSS-TRAINERS – and are therefore welcome to participate in all Cross Training classes and activities offered at St. Timothy! Together we learn to walk in the way of the cross – to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. Becoming spiritually mature is a process; one that requires learning and practice. SACRIFICE TO BLESS Beginning on Ash Wednesday (February 17), and continuing through the Lenten season, you are invited to join the St. Timothy Lenten challenge SACRIFICE TO BLESS. Beginning next Sunday and continuing each Sunday in Lent, watch your Weekly Announcements for creative ways to set aside money to bless the work of Tri-county Family Ministries. If we all work together, each part of the challenge has the potential to make a tremendous difference. So, get ready! Invite your friends and neighbors to participate with you! Together let’s sacrifice to bless! BEYOND OUR WALLS Sunday, February 28 6:30-7:30 PM No registration requirement Come and learn how you can become involved in St. Timothy mission work. God may be calling you to share His mission locally or across the globe. This intergenerational, interactive session is designed to address your questions and concerns as you consider where you believe God is calling YOU to serve beyond our walls. LIVING LENT Wednesday Mornings February 24-March 24 6:00-6:45 AM A blessed start to the day – 45 minutes in God’s word with fellow Christians! The Lenten season is a time we ponder and reflect on Jesus’ last weeks on earth in human form. Lent is also, however, a time to take an honest look at how we live in light of God’s gift of salvation. Come join us as we practice allowing this holy season to become a dynamic, living part of our daily faith walk. BEYOND OUR WALLS Sunday, March 28 10:00-10:45 AM Sue Henshaw from Tri-County Family Ministries will teach us about their ministry. During this time, we will present Sue a check for the money we have collected in our SACRIFICE TO BLESS challenge this Lent.
MISSION WORK
ALMOST HEAVEN – WEST VIRGINIA! Week of August 8, 2010 Registration for this trip begins on February 21 and will continue through Easter Sunday (April 4). This is an intergenerational Habitat build – no one is too old and no one is too young to participate. What an awesome family event! In addition to “builders,” we need child-care workers, cooks, and transportation people in order to make this trip a success.
Total cost of this week-long trip is $250 per person, which includes program fees and on-site meals (Monday through Saturday morning). Meals eaten off-site and free-time activities are not included. We will be traveling by car-pool – the driver will provide the vehicle, and passengers will provide the gas.
If you would like to help, but do not want to attend, please consider a financial gift to help offset the cost for a family or individual who feels God’s call to attend. If you would like to attend, but feel the financial burden is too great, please contact one of our pastors about financial aid availability.
Because housing space is strictly limited, you need to register early to insure your spot! A deposit of $50 per person is required to reserve your space. The $200 balance is due no later than May 9.
