GIFT AFTER GIFT AFTER GIFT! We all live off His generous bounty, gift after gift after gift. (John 1:16 – Msg)
What comes to mind when you read this verse of Scripture? What are the gifts of which the writer is speaking? Have you ever considered that, simply by being who God created us to be, we are gift to each other?! That means YOU are a gift to us, and all of us are a gift to you!
Scripture is clear that in addition to being gift to each other, we all have gifts to be used in service. This month we encourage you to explore your giftedness: 1) Register to attend a four-session Wednesday evening class to learn about your unique gifts. 2) Come to worship on Sundays. 3) Encourage others by sharing with them about insights you gain in regard to your giftedness.

ALMOST HEAVEN HABITAT 2011 June 10-16, 2012
We are building our team for next year’s Almost Heaven Habitat 2012 where we will serve the people of Pendleton County, West Virginia – one of our country’s most impoverished counties.
This intergenerational mission trip begins on June 10th and ends on June 16th. No one is too old and no one is too young to participate! Every gift is needed – whether it be a skill, an attitude, a financial donation, a passion, or a desire.
Total cost of this week-long trip is $300 per person, which includes program fees, travel, lodging, and on-site meals (Monday through Saturday morning). Meals eaten off-site and free-time activities are not included.
If you would like to help, but do not want to attend, please consider a financial gift to help offset the cost for a family or individual who feels God’s call to attend. If you would like to attend, but feel the financial burden is too great, please contact one of our pastors about scholarship availability.
We are returning to Almost Heaven – June 10-16, 2012. Listen closely. God may be calling you to join the team. Space is limited to 20 people. Call the church office if you want to register now (a $50 deposit is required to hold your place).
Pieces to Peace: What Is It?
· This ministry provides hope, compassion, and healing to those affected by trauma and/or abuse. Teams serve in a variety of ways to provide resources to Leath Women’s Correctional Institute and Bridge to Home as well as to offer small group Biblically-based healing in our community.
