Golden Girls |

Welcome! In the year 1991, it was mentioned to our former pastor, Ben Moravitz that our church needed a social group for women 50 years or older so we might get to know each other better. Pastor thought this was a good idea and within a month, our group was started. Now, 16 years later, we are more active than ever. For many years we have served breakfast to the congregation on Easter morning. We also have an annual yard sale each October. Both of these events are fundraisers for the church. Most important, we are there for each other and anyone who might need help in any way. We have branched out to have a “Golden People” group too. Once a month we get together at someone’s house or go out to dinner, where husbands and friends join us. If you are 50 or older, please consider joining us. The more people we have, the better to keep the group going. |

| Sept 2002: St. Timothy's Golden Girls celebrated their 10th anniversary with a barbecue dinner on September 21 at Ed and Candy King’s house. They had great food and great fun. There was even a handful of “golden guys” enjoying the party. | ||||||

The Golden Girls usually meet monthly and for special occasions for fellowship and planning. The fellowship is a great part of who they are, but you may be surprised at what they have accomplished as stewards of God’s kingdom over the past ten years. They have made, through hard work and donations, over $7,000. The Easter breakfasts have earned $2,236, and yard sales, $1,832. Matching funds contributed $3,022 to their account. The money earned has benefited St. Timothy’s Church in many wonderful ways. Nine hundred and ninety dollars has been donated to St. Timothy families in great need, $105 was put toward Baptismal medallions, and $4,814.96 was donated directly to the church in the form of necessary, non-budgeted items. These items include the following: our St. Timothy website, a computer for the office, the chair holder, purchase and installation of the water fountains, Bibles, refrigerators, flowers, bathroom repairs, Monroe Benton’s memorial fund, Confirmation camp, piano repairs, a folding machine, donation for one of our musicals, a vacuum cleaner, choir robes, youth robes, janitor supplies, and a book case for Pastor.
