| Habitat House Dedicated
(February 6, 2005) - The Dedication Service for the
first Habitat for Humanity house in Goose Creek was
held today at 3:00pm at 447 Robin Drive, Goose Creek,
SC 29445. Tom Chamberlin, Executive Directory
for Habitat for Humanity presided. The opening
prayer was provided by Rev. Bill Thompson, of Metro
North Presbyterian. Habitat volunteers, other
church members from the sponsoring churches, and family
and friends of the new homeowner, Latonya Burden,
gathered for song and thanksgiving. Keys to the
new home, and the key to our heart were presented by
Bill Brasby of Harbor Lake Baptist church. Our own
Pastor Johnson had the honor of presenting the Bible and
welcome basket provided by our own Women of ELCA (WELCA). |
